PRODUCER- BOARD OP

Clear Channel Richmond has a job opening for WRVA and WRNL are looking for a go-getter and problem solver to help with different production aspects of our two stations in this extremely important position. A normal schedule will be Thursday-Monday, so weekends are a MUST. This person must be HIGHLY proficient in NexGen/Prophet, Cool Edit and Adobe Audition. Duties will include (but not limited to):

-fill out weekly Sports Schedules to disperse to local media
-update station websites with content and podcasts
-be the producer and board operator for various talk shows and special events
-back up producer for the weekday afternoon shows
-train new employees for WRVA/WRNL
-set up brokered and recorded programming for the weekend
-produce and update promos and show elements
-bonus: be able to write, record and edit sports updates for The Virginia News Network

Clear Channel Richmond has a job opening for an Internet Sales Associate.
1140 WRVA and the Virginia News Network are looking for a full-time reporter who can act as a fill-in anchor when needed. We need some one who can work quickly under deadline pressures without falling apart. ‘lazy’ reporters need not apply. We need someone who’s ready to go at a moment’s notice, whenever and wherever needed. We’re looking for someone who knows how to hustle, tell a story in a compelling way, and how to use audio, and video, in the telling of that story. If you are a “shy” individual who does not enjoy talking with the man or woman on the street, as well as “talking head” public officials, this job isn’t for you. Familiarity with cool edit pro, prophet, and digital audio and video equipment is a plus. Our online content is just as important as our on-air product. We need someone who is computer savvy, and realizes that the internet is the next great frontier. We’re looking for someone who realizes that news needs to hit the website as soon as it breaks, and is able to accomplish the task. That includes adding audio and video to our stories on the web.
